Superdelegates

May 23rd, 2008 nbelle Posted in General | No Comments »

Why it ain’t over till it’s over: Super delegates. No one should stop a human being from trying to win a race when there is even the slightest chance of making it. It is the foundation upon which this nation was built: everyone, man, woman, white, black, has the right to seek their destiny. “In World War II, beating the Germans was the priority before you brought our people home,” he says. “In those days, there was no alternative. The best exit strategy for us in Iraq is to accomplish what we set out to do.”

Many readers tell us that immigration is the most important issue facing the 2008 Presidential candidates. They’ve expressed the concern that people entering the country illegally take jobs for less pay and strain the welfare and health care systems—observations that seem to mesh with the experts’ commentary.

“I think the reason why immigration has become a front-burner issue in recent years is because it affects almost everyone’s life in many different ways,” says Ira Mehlman, media director for The Federation for American Immigration Reform. “When you combine legal and illegal immigrants that are moving into the U.S. every year, it’sbetween a million and a half and two million people.” Mehlman says this influx of people moving into the country has an effect on everything from jobs and education to health care and taxes. …continue reading Immigration on the front-burner
